Due to this, it is considered by many as a futuristic eco-paradise, as many other cities and countries have yet to catch up to it in terms of development. This city only uses tech that is realistically achievable with enough years of development and research put into refining it, nothing sci-fi. However, the perfect execution of utilizing all of these technologies at once, creates idealistic living conditions, that are traditionally only thought to be possible with sci-fi technology providing drastic benefits. The many developments of Erelopia aren't without their drawbacks. A number of restrictions and regulations have been enforced, in order to allow this "perfect ecosystem" to exist in the first place. Erelopia's rapid development was able to take place due to a high profile personality investing in the the development of such technologies through their own research and development companies. This person has offered a partnership with the country, to help rapidly adapt the city to the economic and environmental pressures, in order to allow it to subsist. As a counterpart, that high-profile personality has been allowed partial decision power over the way the city is being run, in order to allow them to tailor the city's rules and systems to the new technologies, and further improve the sustainability of the country.
