When you see a release date for a game or movie that says it releases on the last day of the year aka December 31st (12-31), always understand that this is a placeholder date. It means that only the Year is really known. And of course, if the year is something crazy far in the future, and is on a round year number like 2030, assume the year is then also a placeholder.
